Prof. Nogalski ist ein ausgewiesener internationaler Experte für die Redaktionsgeschichte des Zwölfprophetenbuchs. Seine Bücher "Literary precursors to the Book of the Twelve" und "Redactional processes in the Book of the Twelve", beide aus dem Jahr 1993, brachten den Durchbruch für das Verständnis der zwölf kleinen Propheten als einer redaktionellen Bucheinheit.
