Who

My Science Playroom, Auckland, New Zealand is looking for enthusiastic EFL - students (BA and MEd) to join their team for a 3-months internship.

My Science Playroom is an amazing interactive science museum with a focus for young children. Curious parents, teachers and young children can explore creative and innovative ‘hands-on’ activities with underlying art, science, technology, and engineering focus. Since most materials are both in English and Maori, the interns are able to make links to Maori language and culture and NZ Curriculum outcomes.

What

The interns will assist the team of My Science Playroom, guide and support children through playful activities and hands-on actions including dramatic play.

My Science Playroom offers assistance for the interns concerning accommodation and transport. Interns will cover their travel and visa costs. They are eligible for stipends (e.g. Studierendenmobilität).

Northcote Intermediate School, Auckland, New Zealand is looking for enthusiastic EFL-students (BA and MEd) to join their team for a 3-6 months internship.

Northcote Intermediate School is a highly inspiring school providing secondary education in a friendly, student-centered learning environment. The school believes in promoting a love of learning and an interest in the local and global environment. It also offers an extensive range of sports and performing arts programmes.

What

The interns will be teaching alongside a teacher (team teaching) and helping with projects such as school outings, school social events, trips, excursions, etc. or will be organizing clubs and special event in order to foster intercultural understanding.
