2016: Awarded doctorate (Dr. phil.) with the thesis “Getting things done: Aushandlungsprozesse junger Erwachsener in Kirgistan zwischen Selbst und Kollektiv” [“Getting things done: Negotiation processes of young adults in Kyrgyzstan between the self and the collective”] at the University of Wuppertal. 

2010 – 2016: Research associate and doctoral candidate at the University of Wuppertal (Sociology of the Family, Youth, and Education; Prof. Dr. Bühler-Niederberger).

2002 – 2010: Studied psychology at the Technical University of Berlin and the University of Wuppertal, graduated in February 2010 (Thesis title: “Prozessbeschreibung und Evaluation eines Gruppenprogramms für Flüchtlingskinder in einer Non-Government-Organisation” [“Process description and evaluation of a group program for refugee children in a non-governmental organization”]).
