Kolloquium 3 Jahre magnitUDE
In 2016 the new HPC-system magnitUDE was installed at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Since then, a lot of scientific computations have been done on the machine, a lot of scientific papers have been published with the help of these computations. After three years it is time to present some of these papers in a colloquium on Friday, Dec. 6th, in Duisburg at the NETZ-building in room NETZ 2.42. The colloquium starts at 12:30 pm.
As of today, the following talks are planned:
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Kempf (Engineering) | HPC in the Simulation of (Reacting) Flows |
Dr.-Ing. Carina Nisters (Engineering) | High Performance Computing in Applied Mechanics |
Prof. Dr. Rossitza Pentcheva (Physics) | High Performance Computing in Condensed Matter Physics |
Prof. Dr. Peter Kratzer (Physics) | High Performance Computing in Condensed Matter Physics |
Prof. Dr. Elsa Sánchez-García (Biochemistry) | Computational Studies of Biomolecular Systems |
M.Sc. Simon Burmester (Engineering) | Towards credible CFD simulations for floating offshore wind turbines |
Dr.-Ing. Dominik Brands & Michael Vetter (HPC Support-Team) | Support@magnitUDE and beyond |
The talks will be about 20 - 25 minutes each. There will also be some posters on display from the research groups, that are using magnitUDE.
