In 2016 the new HPC-system magnitUDE was installed at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Since then, a lot of scientific computations have been done on the machine, a lot of scientific papers have been published with the help of these computations. After three years it is time to present some of these papers in a colloquium on Friday, Dec. 6th, in Duisburg at the NETZ-building in room NETZ 2.42. The colloquium starts at 12:30 pm.

As of today, the following talks are planned:

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Kempf (Engineering) HPC in the Simulation of (Reacting) Flows
Dr.-Ing. Carina Nisters (Engineering) High Performance Computing in Applied Mechanics
Prof. Dr. Rossitza Pentcheva (Physics) High Performance Computing in Condensed Matter Physics
Prof. Dr. Peter Kratzer (Physics) High Performance Computing in Condensed Matter Physics
Prof. Dr. Elsa Sánchez-García (Biochemistry) Computational Studies of Biomolecular Systems
M.Sc. Simon Burmester (Engineering) Towards credible CFD simulations for floating offshore wind turbines
Dr.-Ing. Dominik Brands & Michael Vetter (HPC Support-Team) Support@magnitUDE and beyond

The talks will be about 20 - 25 minutes each. There will also be some posters on display from the research groups, that are using magnitUDE.
