My research interests concern various aspects of pre-service teachers’ competence development regarding managing linguistic diversity in education. This includes cognitive as well as motivational-affective competence facets. Moreover, I am interested in different ideas concerning the value of languages. This includes economic approaches as well as sociolinguistic approaches to the analysis of institutional and societal multilingualism.
