- Is it necessary that the supervising professor that I name in my application is of the University of Duisburg-Essen?
Yes.
- What are the requirements for the expose submitted with the application?
Maximum two pages, description of the research subject and methodological approach, reasoning for supervisor choice.
- What are the language requirements?
The programme requires good English skills (Level C1). We further ask you to learn another language that fits Germany’s migration pattern (Level A2). See below.
- Can applications be submitted in English?
Yes, we will accept English applications.
- What if I have already started my PhD Dissertation?
You are still eligible to apply.
- Can applicants already be employed at a HH Stelle at the University?
Yes.
- I already speak a language that fits the migration patterns of Germany. Do I have to learn another one?
No. These skills will be accepted at Level A2.
- Which languages will be accepted to fulfil the requirement of a language that fits the migration pattern of Germany?
