Dear students,

In the context of our research areas, we supervise final theses in various subject areas.  If you are interested in completing a thesis in our field, we would first like to ask you to send us the completed form  "Interesse an Abschluss-Projektarbeiten" interest in final/project Theses together with your grades via email to the address judith.buetefuer@uni-due.de. This will give us an initial idea of your skills and where your interests lie.

We will then get in contact with you. Please understand that we cannot offer you a topic for a thesis in every case.

Please note: In exceptional cases, we also supervise external theses, but only in the field of medical technology systems! If you would like to ask us to supervise an external thesis, please fill out the form "ExterneArbeit" (external thesis) and send it together with the form "Interesse an Abschluss-Projektarbeiten" (Interest in final/project theses) and your transcript of records to judith.buetefuer@uni-due.de.

Note for examiners regarding the approval of external theses for students of medical technology

If you are supervising a student of medical technology who would like to complete their thesis externally (e.g., in a company or a non-university institution), you must apply for approval in advance.

To do so, please download the form “Genehmigung_Externe_Abschlussarbeit_Für_Medizintechnik_Studenten.pdf” and fill it out completely.

The completed and signed form must then be submitted for approval to the chair of the examination board for the Medical Technology program, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Elsa Andrea Kirchner.
