Thesis Topic: Open Learner Interest Modeling in CourseMapper

Description: This thesis explores how learner interest in the Concepts within the courses in CourseMapper can be modeled and explained transparently. The thesis investigates how user interactions can meaningfully represent learner interest and how this interest score can be explained through effective visualization guided by the What–Why–How framework. The work contributes to more transparent, interpretable, and user-centered learning analytics. The system will be designed and evaluated through Human-Centered Design (HCD) to create a user-centric design that considers the user’s demands.
