Special wasteDisposal of hazardous waste

We accept your chemical waste at the two central disposal points of the Staff Unit for Occupational Safety & Health and Environmental Protection and dispose of it properly and in an environmentally friendly manner. Here you can also obtain suitable empty containers for the collection of your chemical waste, identification labels and expert advice.

How do I dispose of waste correctly?

Special requirements apply to the disposal and monitoring of hazardous waste. All important information for the disposal of hazardous waste is explained in Part B of the Waste Disposal Policy.

You can use the table of contents of the Waste Disposal Policy to get an overview and categorise your waste types. All important information is listed in detail for each type of waste, such as

  • approved ingredients
  • parameters to be observed
  • permissible waste disposal receptacles
  • waste declaration for the internal handover certificate
  • dangerous goods classification (according to ADR)
  • notices/unauthorised substances.
