Event safety
Numerous classes but also various kinds of special events, such as conventions, concerts or ceremonies, are held at the University of Duisburg-Essen each day. Special events can take place within buildings or outdoors at both campuses.
The Facility Management Division must be notified in advance of events to be held. The Staff Unit for Occupational Safety & Health and Environmental Protection will be consulted before permission to hold a special event is granted.
Due to the wide variety of options, we would like to offer you as hosts or staff assigned the task of organising an event our support in planning events with regard to event safety, since you are probably not aware of all the safety requirements applicable at the University of Duisburg-Essen. In addition, we would like to prevent disturbances to third parties together with you beforehand
