7th - 9th March 2012 Advanced training course of the DWA on the topic flowing waters

From 7th to 9th March 2012 the periodical DWA-course "waterbodies" (modern water development with regard to ecology and flood protection) took place for the first time in Kassel. The course dealed with "waterbodies" under the leadership of Professor Niemann.

The main topics were natural waterbody development, methods for determining and describing essential parameters, important design parameters, non-technical factors and monitoring concepts.

The three-day training course was designed for executives who want to refresh their knowledge about river management and get to know the state of the technology as well as science. 18 technical lectures were given by well known experts.

28th May 2011 "Zu neuen Ufern" - New Spaces of Experience at the River in Dialog

On Saturday the 28th May 2011 Emschergenossenschaft and Lippeverband have invited to the conference "Zu neuen Ufern". The title of this conference also served as a slogan. Involved persons from various disciplines and fields of social action are started talking to themself in an interdisciplinary exchange of spatial potentials and new forms of life at the river. The Institute supported the event as an official partner of Emschergenossenschaft and Lippeverband.
