Confidential and free of chargePsychological counselling for students

Many different challenges can arise during your studies. This can mean that you encounter difficulties, get stuck with your studies or experience personal problems that prevent you from being able to study successfully. We are happy to help you identify your personal resources, use these resources in a positive way and develop approaches for dealing with situations you feel stuck in.

Counselling process and structure

In an individual meeting, you can tell the counsellor about what is worrying you or what is causing you problems. In doing so, you control which topics will be addressed and what you want to tell the counsellor or not.
If necessary, further appointments for counselling can be made. It is often the case that just a few appointments are sufficient in order for you to understand your current situation better and to be able to deal with it, as well as to add new ways of handling situations to your repertoire.

The range of possible topics could include:

  •  Examination anxiety
  • Feeling overwhelmed
  •  Stress/dealing with stress
  • Difficulties working (procrastination, mental blocks)
  • Conflicts
  • Personal problems that may have a negative effect on your studies

If it turns out that we do not offer the appropriate service for you or that, for example, outpatient psychotherapy would be helpful, we are happy to support you in searching for a suitable therapist or by referring you to other institutions.

Our services are exclusively available to UDE students and are confidential and free of charge.
