Post-Doctoral Researcher (f/m/d, Nr. 177-24)
EG 13 TV-L

The position will be at the newly found Research Center Trustworthy Data Science and Security. The RC Trust addresses the trustworthiness of intelligent systems in safety-critical applications. Its human-centered research approach covers the entire interdisciplinary research of trustworthy data analytics, explainable machine learning, and privacy-aware algorithms. In this Post-Doc you will be part of Nils Köbis’ new lab on “The Human Understanding of Algorithms and Machines” and also work closely with Dr. Margarita Leib (Tilburg University) and Prof. Wilhelm Hofmann (Ruhr University Bochum).

The project

People interact increasingly with technology powered by artificial intelligence (AI). This project aims to explore people’s perceptions of and interactions with AI-based systems in their daily lives. Utilizing experience sampling methods, we will gather real-time data on participants' thoughts, feelings, experiences, and behaviors as they encounter and interact with various forms of AI in their daily lives. This longitudinal approach will enable us to understand the nuanced dynamics of human-AI interaction and its implications for technology design and policy.
