The Institute of Anglophone Studies at the UDE is one of the largest institutes in the Faculty of Humanities with 10 professorships, with an academic staff more than 50 people and almost 3000 students. Your main tasks

· You will contribute to the collaborative and individual research of the Work Group of North American Studies: Literary and Cultural Studies directed by Barbara Buchenau. Our research foci are centered on issues such as sustainable cities and rural communities, cultural pluralism, and decolonization.

· In addition, you will be involved in the implementation and realization of courses and seminars as well as administrative tasks.

Your profile

  • an above-average university degree and doctorate in American Studies / North American literature, culture and media
  • previous academic experience (including experiences in using and developing qualitative research methods, incorporating field research in literary and cultural analysis or with the use of digital humanities methods) is necessary
  • interest in and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
