Humanities and Social Sciences Library (GW/GSW) Clearing of the Reading Room / 2nd floor

From January 19th onwards, the 2nd floor has to be cleared because of comprehensive rehabilitation with regard to pollutants and fire protection.

What will change?

Once and for all:

• The textbook collection will be moved from the ground floor to the basement.
  Part of the library stack will be opened for the public.
• The reserve collections will be found on the ground floor in the former textbook collection area.

Temporarily:

• Loose-leaf-collections and current issues of journals may be found behind the information desk on the ground floor.
• Bound journals will be kept in a closed stockroom.
• Inter library loans and holdings from the library stacks, which may not be borrowed, are kept at the information desk on the ground floor.
• The number of workplaces in room A on the first floor will be augmented.

How long will this renovation last?

End of the renovation works is expected by the end of June 2015.
