The Department of Anglophone Studies kindly invites you to join the English Language Movie Society (ELMS)! The English Language Movie Society was founded in 2007 and is a group of students and staff that meet during the semester to watch films in their original language. It's a great opportunity to meet new people, watch movies in their original version and socialize in English. Students of all departments are welcome and admission is free. All you have to do is show up!

We have also set up a Facebook page ("English Language Movie Society (ELMS)") and an Instagram account (elms_unidue) to help interested students connect to each other and not just be another face in the crowd.

During the semester we meet every other Tuesday at 6 pm in room S05 T00 B71. Our schedule will be posted regularly throughout the fourth- and fifth-floor hallways of R12 and here on our website. Admission is completely free and everyone is welcome to come.

Summer Semester 2024 sees the return of the Fachschaft 1a barbecue on 28 May, and the film for the evening will be chosen by our loyal viewers. Click here to cast your vote between two films nominated by students. Voting is open until Tuesday 21 May.

If you have any questions, suggestions or just want to get more involved, please feel free to get in contact with Stuart Milne at
