Nine Research Papers from RIS at ECIS 2026

The European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS) will take place in Milan from June 15 to 17, 2026. The conference is one of the most important international gatherings in the field of business informatics.

With a total of nine accepted papers, the Rhine-Ruhr Institute of Information Systems (RIS) at the School of Computer Science is well represented at this year’s conference. The presented papers address current topics in research and practice, including artificial intelligence, digital transformation, knowledge management, platform ecosystems, digital business models, and health technologies.

In addition to the academic presentations, Falco Korn will participate in the Doctoral Consortium, where he will present his dissertation project on the effects of social media on students’ academic procrastination.

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Hannes Rothe is organizing a Paper Development Workshop together with international colleagues on the topic “The Future of Creating and Distributing Value in Digital Health Ecosystems.”

ECIS offers researchers from academia and industry an international platform for exchanging ideas on current developments in information systems research.
