Information on the scholarship

Application period closed!

The application period for the UDE scholarship (funding period 2025/2026) has ended. We would like to thank everyone for the numerous applications and welcome all other students to apply again in summer 2026!

What is the UDE Scholarship?

The UDE Scholarship is part of the Germany Scholarship programme and awards students at the University of Duisburg-Essen 300€ per month for their outstanding achievements. The funding period is always one year and starts in October. This is made possible by the commitment of private sponsors and regional companies together with the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

Students and sponsors in dialogue

For our students at the University of Duisburg-Essen, scholarships are not only financial aid, but also recognition for their outstanding achievements, special commitment or qualifications.

The sponsored students benefit in particular from the opportunity to learn from their sponsors and to network.
