Analyze the electrochemical activity of electrodes after prolonged electrolysis using different water compositions. Analyze the electrocatalytic activity of catalyst materials exposed to harsh conditions (simulation of conditions in an AEM electrolyzer during shutdown time). Planning and execution of operando ATR-FTIR experiments with selected catalysts/electrodes. Preparation of the measurement protocol for operando ATR-FTIR studies to extract the vibrational response of near-surface electrolytes, reactants and products under steady-state operando conditions. Research and development of innovative water treatment processes that can work in the temperature range of electrolysis and in dynamic operation with rest phases without releasing pollutants. Cooperation with the other members of the "Natural Water to Hydrogen" project and with the cooperation partners from research and industry
