The Probability Theory Group works on random trees and graphs as well as their continuum analogs, on stochastic processes on random trees and graphs, stochastic processes in population genetics, branching processes and interacting particle systems in random environment.

Your main tasks

You will work on the project “Scaling limits of evolving spanning trees and random walks on evolving spanning trees” within the DFG-SPP 2265 “Random geometric systems” (https://spp2265.wias-berlin.de).

Your profile

Completed (or soon to be completed) PhD in Mathematics with a focus on Probability Theory. Research experience with Random Graph Models, Markov Processes, Interacting Particle Systems, Random Media, Metric Geometry or Scaling Limits are a plus.

Opportunities for further scientific qualification and habilitation will be offered.
