In order to understand complex mechatronic systems, model simplification on the mathematical level can be very helpful. However, conventional approaches only allow the reduction for special classes of scenarios. On the one hand, a goal of this work is to negate this disadvantage and on the other, there is a focus on the physical interpretation of the reduced equations.
