In this project we aim to elucidate the field of Tree-Thinking-Skills and how they can be influenced. We develop new materials and educational programs for novices to get a better grasp of Tree-Thinking and the accompanying skill-sets.

In the PhD project, which is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, we develop and test subject specific supportive measures for students in the introductory phase of biology study programmes.

In this research project, we examine the strategic approaches and argumentation pattern of secondary school students during pedigree analysis.

With the help of the project "Educational Equity in Focus", the UDE specifically supports students during their initial study phase by integrating them into support systems and curricular and extracurricular offerings.

In this project the influence of content specific factors on systems thinking is investigated.
