Our working group develops and applies automated microcopy and digital image processing for scientific research about diatoms, further information on this are available on our website and the scientific publications listed there.

The starting point for UDE BioSLiDES was the restrictions on teaching in our faculty due to the covid pandemic. With the technical knowledge we acquired during our research work, we were able to transfer our microscopy-based practical tranings into a virtual presence-free format during this time. This was eventually developed in terms of technique and content into UDE BioSLiDES.
