Courses Taught

Teaching in the Department is aimed primarily at teacher training students. We aim to provide future teachers with an insight into the learning processes of individual students and to equip them with the knowledge to create conducive learning environments.

This includes, in particular, knowledge of the cognitive psychological principles of learning and instruction, as well as the motivational, emotional and social aspects. An awareness of current developments in research on the psychology of learning and instruction and the ability to put this knowledge into practice in the classroom are also vital, however. This presupposes a sound knowledge of the principles of empirical research and evaluation methods.
