Nanonium

Nanonium aims to make colloidal nanoparticles available quickly, easily and reproducibly at the push of a button. The prototype of their compact benchtop automat will be developed to marketability by the end of 2021 within an EFRE project at the UDE.

airCode UG

airCode UG intends to introduce chipless labels made of nanosilicon to the market: The particles come from the NanoEnergieTechnikZentrum (NETZ) and the Institut für Energie und Umwelttechnik (IUTA). They are embedded in a special ink that can be printed directly onto the package. After being processed by laser it turns into a functioning electronic circuit. Unlike a barcode, the RFID label is reusable, and so is the package. Since it also does not require a chip, its price is around €0.01 – around five times cheaper than its conventional counterpart.
