Was kann ein Transmissionelektronenmikroskop?
Die Transmissionselektronenmikroskopie (TEM) ist eine vielseitig einsetzbare Charakterisierungsmethode von unterschiedlichsten Materialien mit höchster örtlicher und energetischer Auflösung. Die Proben werden von hochenergetischen Elektronen durchstrahlt und müssen hierzu Elektronentransparent sein, d.h. Dicken von unter 100 nm aufweisen. Das JEOL JEM-2200FS erlaubt die Abbildung mit konventioneller TEM oder der Rastertransmissionselektronenmikroskopie (STEM).
Die Öffnungsfehler der elektromagnetischen Linsen können im STEM-Modus mittels elektronenoptischem Korrektor der Firma CEOS korrigiert werden, um atomare Auflösung zu erreichen. Zusätzlich kann die Abbildung mit analytischen Methoden, wie der Elektronenenergieverlustspektroskopie (EELS) oder der energiedispersiven Röntgenspektroskopie (EDX) kombiniert werden.
In Abbildung 1 sind die wichtigsten Wechselwirkungsmechanismen des primären Elektronenstrahls mit der dünnen Probe dargestellt.

Elektronenbeugung
Die Beugung von Elektronen an der amorphen oder meist kristallinen Probe ermöglicht die Bestimmung der Kristallstruktur und –symmetrie.
Hochauflösende Abbildung
Unsere Geräte ermöglichen die hochauflösende (Raster)Transmissionselektronenmikroskopie (HR(S)TEM).
Tomographie
Mit Hilfe des im ICAN vorhandenen Tomographinadelhalters ist eine Drehung der Probe um 360° möglich, was die Bildung bestimmter Artefakte (missing wedge) in der anschließenden Rekonstruktion verhindert.

Wir bieten Ihnen die Energiedispersive Röntgenanalyse (EDX) und Elektronen Energieverlust Spektroskopie (EELS) an.
