Project Objective

• Creating an attractive outdoor space for students and staff
• Opening up the university campus to the city
• Integration of the BeMoVe real-world laboratory
• Contribution to the campus’s climate resilience

Implementation

• Largely carried out by students and staff themselves (AStA, GrüNa)
• Use of existing building materials, particularly timber
• Costs are to be kept as low as possible.

Scope

• 3.500 sq m (100 x 35 m)

Timeframe

• Temporary use for approx. 10 years
• Date of handover still unclear (water issues)
• Part of the IGA 2027 Ruhr region: April to October 2027
