NEW as of WS 18/19: 2-subject MA Master's program History Practice Intercultural

The Institute of History has established the subject "History Practice Intercultural" in the 2-subject master's program at the University of Duisburg-Essen for the winter semester 2018/19. In view of the religious, linguistic and ethnic diversity of the modern living and working world, it is no longer the mediator of the "one" story as a cultural identity builder who is in demand, but the moderator of different stories. This ability is of long-term relevance in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region. We are pleased to be able to launch this master's program, which is designed to closely integrate historical studies with other disciplines and professional practice, in cooperation with a large number of cultural institutions, public authorities, administrations and business enterprises.
