JunZuo Zhang, China-UK Collaboration on International Forest Investment and Trade Programme (InFIT), is going to give a talk at the Graduiertenkolleg Risk and East Asia.

Abstract
China’s forestry policy has changed radically in the period since the Reform and Opening in 1978, and it has been very successful in achieving results in terms of stabilizing and expanding forests, while controlling logging, and securing the livelihoods of local people. The talk will address the main elements of state policies and local practices of forest ownership, the interaction between Chinese forestry and foreign and international forestry programs, and Chinese forestry as an example for third world countries.
