3 Research Student Assistantships at DFG Research Training Group 1613

The DFG Research Training Group 1613 Risk and East Asia is now recruiting
3 Student Researchers
to join the research and training activities of the doctoral college. Applicants must be enrolled in the MA Contemporary East Asian Studies or MA Modern East Asian Studies, and show evidence of excellent achievements in these degree programs. Students enrolled in the degree programs in the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Economics or the Mercator School of Management with an explicit focus on East Asia are also eligible to apply.
Successful applicants will support the research activities of post?doctoral scholars in the research training group and join a range of training activities.
Research Student Assistantships are awarded as employment contracts for up to 10 hours per week until September 2013 with a renewal option for another half year.
Compensation is at the rate of student assistants (Studentische Hilfskräfte).
Expected starting date is March 15, 2013 (pending hiring procedures).
Students with an explicit interest in continuing in a Ph.D. program or planning to pursue a research?oriented career in East Asian Studies are encouraged to apply. IN?EAST guarantees Equal Opportunities in all its activities.
