Myongduck Koh new Guest Researcher
Dr. Myongduck Koh is a new guest researcher at the Institute of East Asian Studies and at the Mercator School of Management, hosted by the Chair of East Asian Economic Studies/Japan and Korea (Prof. Pascha) from October 2011 to February 2012.
He is a Senior Research Fellow of the Institute for National Security Strategy (INSS) in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Moreover, he also teaches international economic and trade relations at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul. Dr. Koh has studied economics at Mannheim University and received a doctoral degree in economic history under the guidance of Prof. Bernhard Kirchgässner. In 1998–2006, he was a Research Fellow of the Institute for International Affairs in Seoul. In 2007, he joined INSS, and from 2008 to 2010 he was the Director of its Department of National Interest. During his stay in Duisburg, he will work on regional cooperation in Northeast Asia, particularly among Korea, China and Japan.
