Exceptionally strong women in the university team at the Company Run in Duisburg
At the Duisburg TargobankRun on August 23. it was shown again that the University of Duisburg-Essen has very strong runners and also some good runners in its ranks.
Katharina Wehr has now achieved the overall women's victory for the third time in a row. Thanks to her strong performance and that of Kristina Beckers (11th place) and Juliane Schoening (17th place), the university also took first place in the women's team ranking. But that's not all: The women from the university also achieved second place in the team ranking (Sara Cremer, Helena Grote and Judith Laichter) and 5th place !!!
In the men's category, we landed on place 5 with Gabriel Hallekamp (10th place), Dustin Bathen (38th place) and Julian Klahold (49th place). Our fastest man, Gabriel Hallekamp, was a few seconds faster than Katharina Wehr and is therefore the overall winner of our team.
Congratulations to all university participants. A total of 251 university members had registered.

This run was also advertised as a university championship and at the same time carried out by us as the 6th Duisburg University Team Cup! Here three runners and three runners from a self-named team were used for the evaluation. The following winners could be determined, congratulations!
