"Understanding Migration Experience in Turkey"
International migration constitutes a fundamental experience of contemporary societies in terms of social and economic transformation. The Jean Monnet Chair on Multifaceted Approaches to Migration in the EU and Turkey (MIG-EU) aims to deepen knowledge on European integration and European studies from the perspective of immigration issues in Europe and Turkey by bringing representatives from different sectors of migration governance together.
The International Migration Academy will provide participants a multidisciplinary perspective on the migration experience of Turkey by tackling the topics including migration history of Turkey, migration in EU-Turkey relations, migration governance in Turkey, Syrians in Turkey, Turkish Diaspora, Migration Studies in Turkey and young refugees in Turkey.
The International Migration Academy will take place from February 7th to 11th, online between 10:30 and 16:30 (CET). The medium of instruction is English.
The application form must be filled in completely until 1 February 2022. The detailed program and further information will be sent to the e-mail address specified in the application form of the participants whose applications are accepted at the beginning of February.
