Your main tasks
- Contributing to cutting-edge interdisciplinary research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, cognitive science, human-computer interaction, and ethical system design by collaborating with the disciplines located at the Research Center (computer science, statistics, cybersecurity)
- Managing a junior research group, including supervising a PhD position funded for three years
- Advancing at least one of the following topics by excellent publications: Human trust and trust calibration in AI systems, Cognitive and social attributions toward AI (e.g., mental state attribution), Formal and informal mechanisms of AI transparency, accountability, and certification
- Networking with teams and institutions within the University Alliance Ruhr (e.g., Social Science Faculties, DFG Research Training School 2535, College for Social Sciences and Humanities, Center for Advanced Internet Studies (CAIS))
Your profile
- Successfully completed PhD and Msc./ Bsc. in psychology, cognitive science, communication science or similar, minimum of two years of postdoctoral research experience
- Strong publication record in human-technology-interaction
- Emerging engagement in attracting competitive third-party funding
- Experience in interdisciplinary research with computer science/data science/machine learning
- First leadership experience
- Motivation and ambition to conduct high-quality research that upholds open-science standards
