The RESIST Collaborative Research Centre investigates how stressors individually and in combination affect the biodiversity and functions of streams and rivers, and how previously stressed ecosystems recover. RESIST investigates the effects of stressors on all components of the food web of running waters (from viruses to fish) and on ecosystem functions. Field studies, large collaborative experiments, a wide range of analytical (especially genomic) and modelling methods are used. Become part of a committed and competent team that carries out challenging field experiments and develops new methods for river restoration.

Your main tasks
Participation in the CRC’s synthesis project (Z03). This involves the preparation of data assembled in the CRC’s individual projects for a combined analysis, the support of CRC scientists in the analysis of these data (e.g. by preparing scripts in R), as well as data analysis on your own, including the preparation of publications.
Your profile
Master degree in a relevant subject (biology, environmental sciences, biostatistics or comparable). Experiences with the statistical analysis of community data (GLM, GLMM, SEM, BRT), experience with programming in R. Publication record in ecological, environmental or biostatistical topics is an advantage.
