Our Approach to Internationalisation

International collaboration, mobility and the exchange of diverse perspectives foster innovation, strengthen research quality and prepare early career researchers for an increasingly interconnected scientific landscape. In line with the University of Duisburg-Essen's internationalisation strategy, we take a broad approach to internationalisation. Alongside international mobility, we promote Internationalisation at Home by creating opportunities for intercultural exchange, international collaboration and global learning experiences. Through English-language workshops, bilingual communication and international networking, we support researchers in developing international competencies throughout their careers.

Our understanding of internationalisation is closely linked to our commitment to diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities. We value the diverse experiences, perspectives and cultural backgrounds that enrich our research community and strive to create an inclusive environment in which all early career researchers can develop their profile.

Whether you are looking for qualification opportunities, international mobility, networking or the right support service, GC Plus connects you with programmes and partners that support your international research career.
