Internationalisation of the Administration
The Guide System for the Internationalisation of the Administration at the University of Duisburg-Essen is no longer active.
The Administrative Departments und Offices had appointed International Guides who helped international researchers by providing a contact person in each department of the administrative body. In practice, the system was not used as planned, though.
If you have questions about supporting international researchers at UDE, please contact the Welcome Service.
SUCTI Project
If you as an administration employee would like to contribute to internationalisation at UDE, you can attend the following training course:
„Systemic University Change Towards Internationalisation“ (SUCTI).
The project aims at empoyering administrative staff by providing them with knowledge and skills related to the university’s internationalisation process.
You can book the course online via the job training tool for employees.

Your Contact Point
The Welcome Service of the International Office is your central contact point for all things concerning the International Guides.
Additionally, the Welcome Service provides support for international researchers (doctoral students, Post-Docs and senior researchers) as well as their host chairs and helps with all organisational aspects of planning a stay at the university and in Germany.
The International Office is the central service address for all international contacts at the university.
