In the Faculty of Biology, the following vacancy can be filled at the earliest possible point in time:
Professorship for Eukaryotic Microbiology (salary class W2 LBesO W)
We are looking for an excellent scientist with an area of expertise in the field of Eukaryotic Microbiology. The successful candidate should have a research focus on parasitic or free-living protists in aquatic – including freshwater – ecosystems that will complement the existing fields of research within the Faculty of Biology, the Center of Water and Environmental Research (ZWU) and the University’s main research area “Water Research”. The research approaches of the candidate should involve morphological as well as molecular techniques with the aim to understand the biodiversity, ecology, and evolution of particular protist taxa such as the Apicomplexa.
