Special needs – Assistance with study planning

The University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE) has set itself the goal of improving family friendliness and taking appropriate measures to benefit the students. A sustainable balance should be achieved between the interests of the university as an institution and the interests of the students.

The aim is to structure the study conditions in as many areas of the UDE as possible in such a way that special needs such as bringing up children or looking after relatives in need of care can be reconciled with the performance of study tasks. Periods of pregnancy, parenthood and caring for relatives in need of care should not have a negative impact on opportunities to study and graduate.

In order to succeed, it is necessary to find tailor-made solutions for this challenge within the structures of the DaZ/DaF institute. If you have specific questions about individual seminars, you can contact the respective lecturer or module officer.

Please contact the lecturer BEFORE the first session!
