Bei Patienten mit immunsuppressiver Therapie verläuft die Hepatitis E-Virus (HEV)-Infektion häufig chronisch. In Zusammenarbeit mit der Klinik für Nephrologie untersuchen wir die Häufigkeit der HEV-Infektion bei Patienten nach Nierentransplantation und den Erfolg einer frühen Ribavirintherapie. In Kooperation mit dem Konsiliarlabor für HEV, Institut für Klinische Mikrobiologie und Hygiene, Universitätsklinikum Regensburg, werden Sequenzanalysen durchgeführt.
Die Bestimmung der Immunität gegen Masern, Mumps und Röteln (MMR) ist wichtig bei Kindern nach Nierentransplantation und unter Immunsuppression. Die chronische Erkrankung dieser Kinder vor Transplantation kann zu einem schlechteren Ansprechen auf die Impfungen gegen diese Erreger führen. Die Immunität wird in der Regel mit IgG-Testungen überprüft, die allerdings nur eine begrenzte Aussagekraft zur Immunitätslage haben. Wir überprüfen die Funktionalität der Antikörper mittels Plaqueassays/Neutralisationstesten in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Nationalen Referenzzentrum für MMR und vergleichen die Aussagekraft verschiedener Teste miteinander.
