Data Science for Smart Cities Summer School
The Workshop
As part of the cooperation between the Faculty of Engineering and the American University of Armenia (AUA), the third Workshop on Collaborative Technologies and Data Science in Smart City Applications (CODASSCA) was held in Yerevan from 17 to 25 August 2022.
The Summer School
In addition to the workshop, a summer school funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) was organised under the title "Data Science for Smart Cities".
In addition to the CODASSCA workshops, a series of lectures and practical events on the topics of AI and data science were held for the participants, alongside information on study and research opportunities in Germany.
A significant part of the events was conducted by representatives of our department.

And what also came of it
The summer school also resulted in Lilit Beglaryan's capstone project titled "Development and training of a deep learning approach to estimate latency of deep neural network inference" ( supervised by Christopher Ringhofer).
The project was submitted to AUA's Zaven & Sonia Akian College of Science & Engineering at the end of May 2023 and was graded A.
