Embedded Security
Security in embedded and IoT systems
IT security poses a particular challenge in embedded systems due to their limited resources. In traditional embedded systems, this aspect is often neglected, which leads to networked embedded systems—such as those in the Internet of Things—being especially vulnerable to cyberattacks. With the advancement of home automation and autonomous driving, it becomes even more critical that IT security is treated as a core aspect of IoT applications.
One solution for IoT applications is the use of Physically Unclonable Functions (PUFs) implemented on FPGAs.
