Presentation of the SVR Annual Report 2021/22

On November 26, 2021, Prof. Dr. Achim Truger will present the SVR's Annual Report 2021/22 as part of the Economic and Social Policy Lectures of the Institute for Socioeconomics at the University of Duisburg-Essen.

The presentation takes place exclusively virtually. It can be viewed live and retrospectively on our institute presences on Twitter and YouTube . Questions can be asked via chat function. It will be moderated by Carmen Giovanazzi. We look forward to the conversation and discussion!

Annual meeting of the GSÖBW 2019 in Duisburg

The new Institute for Socioeconomics (IfSO) at the University of Duisburg-Essen invites you: On Feb. 21-22, 2019, the IfSO will host the annual conference of the Society for Socioeconomic Education and Science (GSÖBW) in Duisburg. Under the title "Crossing Boundaries, Daring Pluralism", diverse perspectives on socio-economic and plural-economic university teaching in different fields of study will be discussed here. This time, teaching is the focus of the GSÖBW annual conference. Duisburg is a well-chosen location, as the new IfSO Master's program is expected to start in the winter semester 2019/20.

Highlights of the event are the keynote speech by Ha-Joon Chang (University of Cambridge), discussion panels with Lucio Baccaro (MPIfG Cologne), Lisa Herzog (HfP Munich) and Jakob Kapeller (ICAE Linz) as well as a colorful social program.

The call for papers is still open until 07.09.2018.
