We were excited to welcome our second PhD cohort at Hotel Franz in Essen for an inspiring start of their doctoral journey on June 19th.

This lecture series provides fundamental knowledge about the cardiovascular system and its physiological functions. Based on this foundation, it focuses especially on the pathophysiology of myocardial infarction. In addition, the series presents current research approaches and explores new therapeutic strategies for future cardiovascular treatments.

First lecture will be on April 23rd, 2026 at 3:00 pm in the lecture hall of the cardiology department.
