Benefits for members of the University of Duisburg-Essen
Hybrid
- The contract with the American Society for Microbiology allows UDE authors to publish open access free of charge in S2O-Primary Research journals of the publisher
- The author fees (APCs) of submitting corresponding authors are paid and financed centrally by the UDE. Invoices are processed by the University Library
Gold Open Access
- Publications in Gold Open Access journals are not part of the contract. The usual ASM author fees (APCs) apply for this
- Financing up to a maximum of €2000 via the University Library is possible. In this regard, please refer to our funding conditions
Requirements
- You are a member of the UDE and responsible for submitting the article as corresponding author
- UDE students can apply for article funding if a member of the supervising faculty supports or approves the publication of the paper. In these cases, funding is only granted upon application and is decided on a case-by-case basis
- The University of Duisburg Essen or the University Hospital must be specified as the first affiliation
