Benefits for members of the University of Duisburg-Essen

  • The contract with Portland Press Limited entitles UDE authors (corresponding authors) to publish free of charge in selected journals of the publisher
  • The contract covers genuine Open Access publications only. Hybrid journals  are not covered by the contract.
  • The author fees (APCs) of submitting corresponding authors of UDE are paid and financed centrally by the UDE. Invoices are processed by the University Library

Requirements

  • You are a member of the UDE and responsible for submitting the article as corresponding author
  • UDE students can apply for article funding if a member of the supervising faculty supports or approves the publication of the paper. In these cases, funding is only granted upon application and is decided on a case-by-case basis
  • The University of Duisburg Essen or the University Hospital must be specified as the first affiliation
