The next UB|SchreibCamp will take place in the week from 03.08. to 07.08.2026 in the LK Library on the Duisburg campus.
The one-week event is geared towards writing academic papers. The program includes planning, citation, literature management and tips on various tools. Experts from the UB training team offer individual support in research advice.
You can motivate yourselves in joint writing sprints and find writing buddies who will also support you after the camp.

Why should you join?
We know it from our own experience: writing academic texts is not something you can do on the side, and it can sometimes feel overwhelming. In addition, you often feel like the only person who has to tackle the challengs of writing - it is helpful to know that others feel the same way.
What do former participants of the UB|SchreibCamp say?

When and where?
The next UB|SchreibCamp will take place in the week from 03.08. to 07.08.2026 in the LK Library on the Duisburg campus.
Our BaseCamp is the place to enjoy a cup of coffee, chat with others and get writing tips from your writing buddies and our experts.
In addition to a space for consultations, we have various training rooms for the courses and another training room for our writing sprints. Please note that you must sign up for the sessions. Sign-ups will open two weeks before the writing week.
For whom?
The UB|SchreibCamp is open to all UDE students who have an academic term paper in front of them and may want to hand it in soon.
How?
Participation is of course free of charge. There are limited places available for the sessions; please sign up in advance.
Why are we doing this?
Our aim is for you to find a good writing community that helps you write your text, motivates you, and shows you that you are not alone in facing the sometimes very challenging task of writing.
What happens next, how can I sign-up?
You can find all information about signing-up here on the website and in our Moodle course room. You can sign up about two weeks prior to the event. We will inform you about the announcements in the forum and of course on our our Instragram channel (@ub.de).
