 Benefits for members of the University of Duisburg-Essen

• Through UDE's membership in Frontiers UDE authors are granted a 10% discount on APCs
• Author fees (APCs) are paid centrally from UDE. Invoices are processed by the University Library
• Costs that exceed the maximum funding amount of €2,000 must be financed from your own financial resources. In this regard, please refer to our funding conditions.

Requirements 

• You are a member of the UDE and responsible for the payment of APCs as corresponding author
• UDE students can apply for article funding if a member of the supervising faculty supports or approves the publication of the paper. In these cases, funding is only granted upon application and is decided on a case-by-case basis
• The University of Duisburg-Essen or the University Hospital must be specified as the first affiliation
• Excluded article types: Opinion, Comment
