Registration and licence

How to register your Citavi account:

• Go to this website: https://citaviweb.citavi.com/.
• To obtain the campus licence, select "Continue with university (= mit Universität fortfahren)" aus.
• Then select "Researcher or other employee (= Wissenschaftler/in oder sonst. Mitarbeiter/in)" or "Student (= Student/in)".
• Enter your UDE email address for authentication and click on "Next (= Weiter)".
• You will then receive an email which you must confirm in order to verify your account. You have now obtained the campus licence.
• You can log in to your Citavi account from this page:
  https://citaviweb.citavi.com/login.
• After logging in, you can start working with Citavi Web immediately.

Strengths and weak points

• Work independent of location and operating system
• Only have a tablet with you? Citavi Web supports touch screens so you can work on your projects on the go.
• Please note the List of missing features.
• Lumivero does not offer citation style customisation or the provision of UDE's own styles for Citavi Web.
• Citavi Web only allows data to be saved in the Citavi Cloud. For sensitive project data, we therefore recommend using another reference management software that allows data to be saved locally. Please note the privacy policy and the user agreement that you agree to when you create your Citavi account.
