Advanced TEM and in situ X-Ray Spectroscopy

Prof. Dr. Robert Schlögl

Project B7 aims at generating a fundamental understanding of the geometric and electronic real and surface structure of oxidation catalysts of the spinel- and perovkite-types under their working conditions. A sophisticated ex-situ, quasi in-situ and in-situ workflow will be applied, which is based on complementary integral, surface averaging X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and local analytical transmission electron microscopy. Samples will be received from Area C and the characterization results will be correlated with the catalytic test from Area A.
